Intermediate Wing Chun Classes
INTRODUCTION
Intermediate classes are for students who have passed their first grading and have a working understanding of the basic structures. This is where Wing Chun starts to reveal its depth. The principles introduced at beginner level begin to connect — and the training becomes progressively more dynamic, more demanding, and considerably more rewarding.
WHAT YOU'LL DEVELOP
Deeper understanding and refinement of Siu Nim Tao — moving from memorised sequence to applied knowledge
- Introduction to and development of Chum Kiu — the second form — including footwork, pivoting and movement with structure
- More advanced Chi Sao — developing sensitivity, the ability to ‘read’ an opponent through contact, and spontaneous counter-technique
- Combination techniques and partner drills at increased speed and pressure
- Introduction to sparring methodology under controlled conditions
- Greater understanding of how Wing Chun principles apply in real self-defence scenarios
